Very nice small swimming lake between Stromberg and Heuchelberg. It is also very easy to reach by racing bike. If you want, take a short break here. You can get drinks and something to eat on site. In the summer months, on weekends and on public holidays, however, it is often very, very, very crowded.

The lake was created between 1968 and 1970. EnBW, the operating company of the Neckarwestheim nuclear power plant, initiated a later enlargement of the lake in 2000-2001. Low water in the Neckar during the summer and legal requirements had previously led to a shortage of cooling water at the reactor at this time of the year. Due to the larger damming, more water could be supplied to the Zaber and thus the Neckar in order to replace the evaporated cooling water.
In May 2009 the new nature park center of the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park opened its doors on the lakeshore.
