Santo António is a parish in Ponta Delgada. A few years ago, various tourist and leisure facilities began to be opened, such as the bathing area and viewpoints. Agriculture is still the main activity, and the feast of Santo António is celebrated on the first Sunday in July. Local legend reports the finding of an image of Saint Anthony by a fisherman, which led to the name of the parish.
