Very nice and well planned park with a spacious lake in the center.
    West Side Lido (6 Eur)
East side of smaller beach (free).
The park has many beautiful (forest) paths and some covered seating.

1920 - 1926 was designed on 112 ha Jungfernheidepark after plans by the Charlottenburg garden director Erwin Barth as an axially landscaped park (1800 m long, 800 m wide).

On 27.5. In 1923, the park and bathing facilities were opened for the Games and Sport Weeks in the district. 1925 Ehrenhain for the fallen in the First World War Low German, also by Barth, was removed during the broadening of the Tegeler Weg (now Kurt-Schumacher-Damm) after 1945. In 1927 the work was stopped. Due to lack of money not all plans could be realized.
Park and individual buildings were very damaged during World War II. Two houses at the entrance were destroyed. Of two created in 1925 by Hermann Pagels bears on the main avenue near the entrance to the Kurt Schumacher dam one was lost since the end of World War II. In 2010, a section was rediscovered. The sculptor Vincenz Repnik created a replacement monument from an eleven-ton shell limestone block. Since May 6, 2011, the classic entrance situation with both bears has been handed back to the public.

The large pond receives on the Nonnengrabenkanal constantly fresh inflow from the Spandau shipping canal and gives its water to the deeper located Spree. The basin was artificially created, the western part serves as an outdoor pool, in the eastern part of the bathing is prohibited.
