Besigheim is a small town in the district of Ludwigsburg about 25 km north of Stuttgart. It belongs to the Stuttgart region (until 1992 Mittlerer Neckar region) and to the European metropolitan region of Stuttgart. Since 18 October 2005 Besigheim is a state-approved resort.
