Hessigheim Rock Gardens

The Hessigheim rock gardens are an absolute highlight in this region, even though they cannot be passed through by bike. The rock gardens are only accessible on foot, you have to leave your bike at the top of the mountain rescue service. However, it is absolutely worth it both the upper hiking trail through the trees and again and again with a beautiful view over the peaks of the climbing rocks down to the Neckar and over to Besigheim as well as the path at the lower end of the climbing rocks in the approx. 10-15 meters lower to commit lying "gorge".

The rock gardens between Besigheim and Hessigheim impress with huge boulders and walls, between which you can hike and from which you can look over the Neckar valley. The unspoilt mixed forest on the rebound slope of the Neckar loop is under nature protection. Facing Hessigheim are heathland and semi-arid grasslands, habitats worthy of protection.
