Hohenwarthe, a village of Möser and in the Jerichower Land district, was formed in the last two ice ages. Due to its convenient location on the Elbe, near today's state capital Magdeburg and the district town of Burg, Hohenwarthe has experienced a positive development in the past 200 years. Today the town has a direct connection to the Mittelland and the Elbe-Havel canal and the Elbe.
