The Dierberg village church is one of the so-called "mother churches" or main churches of a region, built at the end of the Middle Ages. This is evidenced by the massive tower, dating from the church's early 16th-century origins, as well as the pointed Baroque spire from 1688. Both are a prominent feature of the church. The masonry consists of split boulders and broken bricks. The church was probably completed in 1513 and subsequently underwent numerous extensions and modifications, for example, to the window openings.
