This trailhead provides access to Pyramid Creek and Horsetail Falls. The trailhead parking lot has bathrooms and requires a $10 fee for parking per day, which is waived if you are an overnight permit holder. Entry permits for Desolation Wilderness are available at the Placerville Ranger Station and are required year-round for both day and overnight use.
