Bike Touring Highlight
Bergerac is worth a detour and a break. The small medieval town has a covered market, a beautiful Pelisiere town square, 17th/18th century structures at the Cloitre des Recollets and of course a statue of the long-nosed Cyrano de Bergerac, pioneer of the Enlightenment and master of satire, immortalized in the Edmond drama roast stand. Gerard Depardieu immortalized him in the film.

Pretty town of Dordogne with a pleasant old town, the Dordogne river where the Gabarres (traditional boats) circulate. Do not hesitate to walk there to discover the two statues of Cyrano de Bergerac but also old half-timbered houses as well as the Pelissière square and its fountain, very popular with locals and tourists alike. For wine lovers, Le Château de Montbazillac is a fifteen minute drive from Bergerac.

The city is known for its viticulture. But she has no relationship with Cyrano de Bergerac (only identical names).
