The laying of the foundation stone for the beautifully situated "Herz-Jesu-Kirche" in Oberbränd was celebrated on September 29, 1929. The pastors lived in the rectory in Bubenbach and looked after the parish of Oberbränd until 1974. Bubenbach and its branch church Oberbränd have been part of the parish of Eisenbach since 1983. A long-planned renovation was completed in 1997 with the support of the church building association founded in 1949 and many helpers. The church has 132 seats and today has about 430 Catholics.

In addition to the church, there has been an own cemetery for Oberbränd since 1953.
