The Oberhornsee lies in the rear Lauterbrunnen valley at an altitude of 2065m. M.
It is a real gem in the Unesco World Heritage Site Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Small and blue, it lies in an impressive alpine landscape of the Bernese Oberland.
Depending on the weather, the Oberhornsee dries out almost completely in late summer or autumn, since it is not fed directly by the melt water of the Breithorn.
