Anyone expecting a panorama of the Dolomite peaks will be disappointed. The misleading name "Dolomitenblick" was invented by the landlord of the inn that used to stand here to attract hikers. It still works today. However, there is only a partial view of the valley TOWARDS the Dolomites, restricted by trees. On the horizon, in very clear weather, you can guess that the tiny peaks could belong to the Dolomites. So there is only a map of the surrounding peaks here and not of the well-known Dolomite sizes. The view of the valley is also much nicer from the Hofschank Platztair, which is a little lower down, without trees and with a full valley panorama.
