Former location of the Berlin Sports Palace.
From 1911, the Berlin Six Days was held here.
The one-day classic Berlin-Leipzig was started in 1924 at the Sportpalast and led via Potsdam, Wittenberg, Bitterfeld to the Leipzig Trade Fair.
The sports palace gained a lot of fame through the sports palace speech of Joseph Goebbels in 1943.
In 1973, the sports palace was demolished in favor of a housing project.
