The Salinas de Ulló in Vilaboa are in the municipality of Vilaboa, at the end of the Ría de Vigo, in front of the San Simón Island. In the Paredes parish, the detour is on the road that connects Pontevedra with Vigo at the height of Paredes. If you go by car there is a small parking lot so you can leave it parked there and walk freely throughout the area. These Ulló salt flats date from the 17th century during the reign of Felipe IV back in 1637. They occupy a fairly large area as you can see in the photos. It goes from the Paredes parish to the other end where Larache Beach is in Santa Cristina de Cobres.

At the end of all the land that the salinas occupy, there is a stone wall that closes the entire area to prevent the sea water from leaving and thus by evaporation the salt was staying on the land, and later as in other salinas it was collected for different uses.
