This trailhead is already deep in the park, so if you plan to do this trail be sure to check if the trail is open before setting out. Great view from the overlook regardless, so the trek out is not without a pay off.

Great vantage point of the surrounding area and over to Elk Falls. Be careful here! It's a very steep drop off, fall factor is high if you get too close to the edge. Be safe and smart!

Cycling

Elk Falls Overlook is just off of the Lion's Head Trail. The trail on the way up is a mix of hard-packed dirt and some cobbled sections. Once at the top, you'll see a large waterfall flowing down a slick rock surface.

Depending on the crowds or your bike handling skills, you may need to walk up the short part of Lion's Head Trail to get to the end.
