1.1km long ascent up onto Dean Hill ridge. First half is roughly 5% then steepening just before tight bend. The straight section of road peaks at 12-14% through the trees before the grade eases as it rounds the top by the radio mast.

Climb comes out of nowhere really as is flat all around the area then you come across Dean Hill and its a bit of a shock. The tight right hand bend is where it kicks off and keeps to a double digit gradient until road bends to left and eases. If you're coning down Dean Hill, be careful of bend at bottom. It can creep up on you and I've misjudged it a couple of times.
