Römerkastell Kapersburg

Good place for a picnic. Significantly quieter than the Saalburg.

Kapersburg is the name of the castle.

Very well preserved foundations. Unlike many other castellated ruins, one can imagine the old complex quite well here.

Foundations eimes Roman fort in the middle of the forest.

The tour to the "ancient Romans" is pure pleasure. Be it from the Saalburg train station, from Wehrheim or Pfaffenwiesbach or from other directions (admittedly arduous), is recommended as a milestone. The outward journey is quite easy, since the way is easy to cycle without much effort. Here you can linger, have a snack and, if children are present, let them have fun discovering old times.

Former Roman fort. The foundations are fully preserved, ideal for exploring and taking a break.
