Through an imposing entrance gate you enter the monastery Kirchberg. In 1237 it was by Count Burckhard III. founded. In the 70s there was a fire in the monastery, after which it was completely restored in the years 1979-1989. For 60 years, the monastery has been used as a place of silence. People of all ages and from different faiths come here to find peace and relaxation. Thematic workshops and seminars are offered in the former Dominican monastery.
Guests are welcome to visit the monastery and stroll through the spacious grounds. In the monastery shop and the tavern you can strengthen yourself. Mondays, however, is closed. You can read more about the monastery and its history here: klosterkirchberg.de.
The monastery Kirchberg is the perfect place to rest and recharge your batteries.

The Kirchberg monastery is always worth a visit. Even if you “only” want to take a walk there.

.. around the monastery Kirchberg there are plenty of forest and dirt roads, as well as several singletrack to explore - so something for every taste dabei 🙂
In addition, there should be delicious cakes in the monastery tavern 😋
