The Fleuthkuhlen nature reserve lies in the triangle between Geldern, Kapellen and Issum, embedded in the typical, varied landscape of the Niersaue. Small, winding and little-used roads and paths lead past meadows and pastures with ditches and gnarled pollard trees, to small rivers such as the Issumer Fleuth, to winding wooded areas, arable land and old orchards. The NRW Foundation has acquired numerous areas in the Fleuthkuhlen since the 1990s.

From the path you have a good view of the Beerenbrouck house, which was first mentioned as "Hof" in 1331. The current two-storey plastered building was built at the beginning of the 19th century.
