Homage also to its glossator Jacint Verdaguer, whose image can be seen on the pedestal. It was erected in 1904 and is crowned by a stone angel with wings and a metal star. It was designed by Enric Monserdà. Eusebi Arnau made the model of the sculpture, cast in stone by Frederic Bechini. The ornamental part is the work of Joan Pujol.
