This Devon Wildlife Trust managed nature reserve is an area of damp unimproved grassland and a small area of woodland.

The grassland supports a diverse flora with a wide variety of grasses and sedges. There are over 17 recorded species of butterfly, including small pearl-bordered fritillary and marbled white here. Look out for buzzard, sparrowhawk, green and greater spotted woodpecker too, as well as badgers and fallow deer.
