From the viewing platform you have a wonderful view of the new nature reserve of the Northern Lake Fehmarn, which is managed by the Haff and Huk association. As a walker on such flat land you often have the desire to stand a few meters higher - here it was fulfilled. The platform can be reached via the old part (there is a parking lot in front of the dike) and via the Fehmarnbelt campsite or you can park at the Westermarkelsdorfer lighthouse and walk through the botany (don't forget rubber boots! :-)).
