The "Plague Cemetery" is a reminder of the black bubonic plague that raged in the area during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648). The mass grave of this epidemic was long forgotten until around 1783 a torture was erected in memory. In 1933 the pastor at the time replaced it with today's plague cross.
