Built with slab sandstone slabs during the Neolithic period , this imposing building covers an area of nearly 80 m². The average height under the slab is 2.70m.

Presumably of the Angevin type, it lost its entry trilithe, on the east side, following its use as handcarts in the XIXth century.
The vestiges of a doorway to the west and a bread oven in the deep chamber also testify to the re-use of this monument as an annex to the neighboring farm.

Excavations carried out in 1940 made it possible to find numerous human bones and flints, which seems to indicate its use as a collective tomb.

The site has been classified since 1930.
