The area of the municipality is located just before the beginning of the Carnic Prealps in the hills north of Udine. Soon the stage destination of the 7th stage on the Alpe-Adria bike path has reached from here. If you still want to stop and want to replenish the water bottles or need a break, this can do on historical ground - Tavagnacco was founded in Roman times. If you are here at the right time, you can enjoy excellent fresh asparagus. Tavagnacco is known for growing asparagus and every year there is the Festa degli asparagi (asparagus festival).

Tavagnacco is located north of Udine and has 14,981 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2017). The municipality is 137 meters above the sea and includes a municipal area of 15 km ².
The area of the municipality is located just before the beginning of the Carnic Prealps in the hills north of Udine.
The municipality includes next to the main town Tavagnacco six other villages: Adegliacco, Branco, Cavalicco, Colugna, Feletto Umberto and Molin Nuovo.

Very nice town where to stop for a short ride between the ancient walls and the small center of the country with a rural Friulian style.
