Ottensoos - 1100 years of history of a Franconian village

Document from the year 903 Ottensoos is one of the oldest documented places in eastern Middle Franconia. It was mentioned in a document by King Ludwig the Child as early as 903. The king donated the settlement together with Sendelbach and a Teorinhova, which cannot be localized, to the St. Emmeram monastery in Regensburg. The slightly rising terrace outside the flood area on the south bank of the Pegnitz, on which the place was built, had attracted settlers long before, as findings in the area of the Reichenschwander Weg showed a few years ago.
