Eiserbach Dam

At this point you cross the Eiserbachdamm near Rurberg, which dams the water of the small Eiserbach tributary. You have a great view of the reservoir on one side and the Rursee on the other.

A busy place on hot days, but very nicely laid out.

The Rursee is the ideal environment for a relaxing holiday with lots of experience. With a capacity of 205 million m³, it is the largest dam in Germany and a paradise for water rats, there are water sports possibilities in almost every form.
In many quiet bays, the eel, the pike and the carp promise the fishermen a good catch. A bike ride around the lake is always a special experience. Hikers and nature lovers will find numerous hiking trails along the lake.
