The fairytale meadow in the Lauchagrund invites you to take a trip back to the days of childhood, where the characters in the children's book can be admired. The doctor from Frankfurt enjoyed our surroundings around Bad Tabarz and spent many years with his family in the village. So what could be more natural than to erect a worthy monument to him. Made of oak and brightly painted, the figures come to life here.
NOTE: Since all children in the world know the Struwwelpeter, there is the fairy tale festival, known beyond Thuringia's borders, on a weekend every summer. A colorful range of programs with games, handicrafts, demonstrations, a raffle and, of course, delicious things to eat await all small and large guests. The Märchenwiese is a station along the 300 km long German Toy Road.
