Great hiking and mountain biking on this gravel fire road in Mt Tamalpais watershed. It initially climbs south from the intersection with Eldridge Grade Fire Road, then turns north and descends along a pronounced ridgeline forming the eastern boundary of the Mt Tam watershed and the Ross residential area.

At the end there are hikers-only pedestrian trails connecting back to the parking lot; on bikes the return to the parking lot is via residential streets.
