Hotel Paxmontana

The unique Art Nouveau Hotel Paxmontana is free-standing on a hilltop with a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Sarnen and the Obwalden mountains. Built in 1896 by Mr. Franz Hess-Michel as Kurhaus Nünalphorn. The hotel is now a listed building and is a protected object of regional importance.
If you don't want to be pampered for one or more nights in the hotel's beautifully furnished rooms and stylish atmosphere, we recommend an aperitif on the spacious hotel terrace.

Each room has its own charm. The hotel deliberately dispenses with television and radio. Every room has binoculars (television) so that you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Obwalden mountains. Pure relaxation! In the historic garden there is also a Kneipp facility.
