Cycling

With the port of Kercabellec to its right and Sorlock beach to its left, the Pointe de Merquel stands proudly in the Atlantic.

Opposite is the headland of Pen-Bé. The culvert widens to the Bay of Més. The salt marshes of Més extend to the land.

A monastery was built on the Point de Merquel in 1278 and destroyed in 1615. A legacy of the Benedictine monks of St Gildas de Rhuys and dedicated to Notre Dame de Marrel.
