Before the turn, the bridge place was the end or departure point for the regular buses. Today, after the redesign, the bridge square has become another gem of the city. In the middle of the square is a fountain with a sculpture by the artist Ullrich Holland. A piece of open watercourse is reminiscent of the hustle and bustle of the market when the square used to be the cattle and stall market.

A lovely fountain/water features on a small square in Schmölln. Pigs used to be traded here on the market. The fountain quotes this story in a funny way.
