Floral splendor under tall pines
The Bruns Nursery Rhodo Park is located in the Gristede Forest on the country road from Wiefelstede to Bad Zwischenahn.
Chinese redwoods provide shade, while other solitary trees are interesting eye-catchers amidst the splendor of the rhododendrons. Over 1,000 different types of rhododendrons and outdoor azaleas form the core of the collection. This is particularly worth seeing between May and June, because this is when the park is transformed into a colorful flower landscape. Two ponds and an impressive park pavilion complete the picture.

From day one, the 25-hectare park was freely accessible to the public. It quickly became an attraction in the Ammerland region and a place of pilgrimage for rhododendron lovers from all over the world. The main flowering period is from the end of April to the beginning of June. With its interesting and diverse design, complemented by many botanical rarities and solitary trees, the Gristeder Rhododendron Park is worth seeing all year round.
