The is an urban path and is part of a very slow project of adding cycle ways and foot paths around downtown. It connects to the Ladybird Johnson Trail around the lake. The longterm is to continue the reach further out to create a conduit to the city central.
Its a fabulous start and more and more bike lanes are being added. I suspect to see expansion and improvements of the creek trail system (there are a few) . I like and appriciate what has been done so far.

Don't expect much. But if you never saw a trail next to a highway, it's worth a try.
