Hiking
The Franklin ridge trail runs through the Carquinez Regional Shoreline Reserve from Martinez all the way to the Ozol oil terminal. Note that Carquinez Scenic Drive is closed to cars since landslides caused damage in the 1980s. The former road is a paved park trail in the reserve to the east, and a rebuilt excellent paved path to the west of the oil dock
