Very nice and with love created place. Unfortunately I did not understand the meaning or the custom.
Apparently has something to do with marriage?

The explanation boards refer to the Waldensian history of Nordhausen. Nordhausen was founded in 1700 by settlers who belonged to the Protestant movement of the Waldensians - a pre-Reformation movement of the Middle Ages. At that time, the Duchy of Württemberg suffered from the consequences of the Thirty Years' War, so that the repopulation of barren areas was particularly forced. So it happened that in June 1700 202 refugees settled in the valley of the Breibach between the towns of Nordheim and Hausen with the ducal permission.

There I was today, my way led me from Nordheim past the REWE in the direction of Hörnle, a beautiful oasis of peace, hopefully it will remain as clean as I found it today.
