Dunfermline’s first public park was created in 1866, some 50 years prior to the more famous Pittencrieff Park (Glen). The park sits to the East of the city on a slope towards the railway station and provides a great view of the Forth Bridges and beyond. The park has a number of awards including Beautiful Fife, Scottish Woodland and Dark Sky Discovery Orion Status.

The parks features include the Louise Carnegie Bandstand and Donald Fountain (listed monuments) as well as a number of more recent improvements including period signage and feature lighting. In and around the park and woodlands you will find wood sculptures, willow heads, tree-lined avenues, and some secretive faeries.
