The view from the Kahler Asten, the highest mountain in the Sauerland, is definitely worth the climb if the weather is good. If you take the road, it's not even that strenuous. The descent through the forest to the Hoher Knochen mountain hotel, past the Lenne spring, is both beautiful and exciting.
