From the coal factory once lived numerous people in Delliehausen and
Surroundings. At least from the 17th century burned in the
Woods around Delliehausen annually the charcoal kiln.Logs were stacked to milking and with grass, moss and soil
covered airtight. About a Quandelschacht became the Meiler
inflamed. The first smoke came from the top of the kiln,
had the spruce in the lower part of the Quandels
Caught fire and now ignited the stacked over it
dry beech wood. After observation of the smoke, the kiln was from above with
Covered earth. The process of carbonization was at all times
Equal: Under exclusion of air, the charcoal burned the wood until it is
decomposed at a temperature of 280 degrees Celsius and charcoal,
Timber tar, acetic acid and other organic compounds were formed. 🤗
