Best Hikes to Falkenhöhle Cave

Tips

  • The falcon cave has a total length of about 90m. The main part of the cave is the entrance hall, which is slippery but not yet muddy. To see more of the cave you have to crawl at the other end through a 50cm high gap (you need something to find the gap, the gap is a little above not down!). From here it starts to get extremely muddy. It is advisable to put on clothes that may get dirty and possibly wear rubber boots if you do not want to climb over the muddy puddles. In winter, the cave is closed because of bat protection. In the fall frogs are often in the cave (fall in and can not get out). In March, the cave is open again and you can watch bats on the ceiling of the entrance hall when it is not warm.

  • Cold 🥶cave, which consists of one large room at the beginning.
To go further I would have to crawl, which I didn't do.
