The construction of the Krefeld promenade is making great strides. The opening of the first section between the fire station and Trift is imminent (May 2020). The ride on the freshly paved, wide bike path, which is flanked by newly planted trees, gives an idea of what a win the Krefeld promenade will be. For cyclists and walkers who use the path in their free time, but also for bicycle commuters who can safely and quickly cross the city in the future.

01.06.2020 unfortunately the Krefeld Promenade is not finished yet.
The section between Hausbend and Ossumer Straße currently has gravel underground. However, there are sections that are already passable, but not yet officially opened (fire station to Am Verschubbahnhof).
Update January 17th, 2021: Not yet opened, but the subsoil is covered.
