    monumentale-eichen.de/niedersachsen/ebstorf:
"The king oak stands south of the municipality of Ebstorf next to a road on the edge of the Westerholz, a small forest. The monumental trunk extends about 6 m unbranched upwards to then dissolve into several branches. At about 6 m height there is a larger opening in the trunk to see, which comes from a branch break from the year 1902. Otherwise the trunk is still completely closed. A very high reaching crown sits on the trunk. A few branches are missing in the crown, otherwise it is completely preserved. The oak is almost 34 m high and thus the highest monumental oak in Germany. The Ebstorf forestry office is said to have counted 400 annual rings on the branch that broke out in 1902. Accordingly, the oak would be over 500 years old. In 1904 the oak measured 1 m in height and 7 10 m 1907 a circumference of 6.92 m, measured at chest height, is specified for the king oak, the circumference at the same height was 8.50 m in 2016. The oak grows very slowly with around 1.4 cm per year Grows around the last 100 years also indicate an age of over 500 years. The vitality of the oak is still good.
