From Lalun to Kholeno Massif, Elborz Mountains in Iran:
Beautiful valley with great opportunities to climb some four-thousand. Ideal for acclimatization for Damavand 5670m, Iran's highest mountain. Lalun is about 50km from the center of Tehran. By bus (to Fashum) or taxi very easy to reach.
Food, fuel for stove, etc. better in Fashum shopping. No gas in Lalun. Residents are very helpful. At first very good trail, not to miss. Water is abundant throughout the valley.
