This hike is worth even if you don't plan to step on the Kjeragbolten. The landscape is fascinating. The hike is not easy. There are lots of people in the high season, so I recomend to go early in the morning or in the afternoon, then you have the mountains to yourself on the way back. Only for experienced hikers when it's wet, it gets very slippery.

Once standing on the "Kjeragbolten" is one of the biggest adventures you can imagine!

The rock in a crevice - therefore translated: Kjeragbolzen - offers a floor space of about 2 m², and down comes a thousand feet first time nothing. Fear and anxiety mingle with the great feeling of having taken this step. The way from the car park, which is ideally reached by ferry and then across the Lysevegen with numerous hairpin bends, is a challenge, but with a little fitness and good shoes (!) Can safely reach. It is exhausting, but worth every meter.

Great hike that requires a little more stamina, skill and equipment than, for example, the hike to Pulpit Rock. Not only the Kjeragbolten itself, but the entire tour is definitely worth the effort.
