The parish church of St. Peter was built between 1156 and 1164. In 1774 the sculptor Johann Nischlwitzer from Judenburg created the fishing pulpit, one of the few in Austria. During the course of the church restoration, ceiling frescoes representing the 12 apostles were discovered. The west-east facing nave is flanked by the approximately 43 m high onion tower. From 1450 St.Peter was one of the main parishes of the upper Mur valley.
