Old seminary, formerly known as St Cuthberts. Founded in 1808 by Roman Catholic priests fleeing France after the French Revolution. It is now part of Durham university. Entrance to the gardens is free and there is a small charge to tour the inside of the college. It has a nice tea room that offers some excellent home baked goods.
