Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)
Why is this called "the donkey"? The answer is: Here was not this beautiful road, but a steep path, the carters had to go up. The path was so steep that there was always a donkey waiting here, which was harnessed to the wagons, otherwise they would not come up here. In addition, a saddled donkey always waited here in case the baroness of Nesselrode felt like visiting the forest.
Today, here is a road, which - quite remarkable for the Ruhr - winds up in serpentines. No inhumane challenge but quite a nice change;)

Especially if you like me there only towards the end of the tour again nice 9% to squeeze the rest of glycogen from the muscles or as in my case to bring because of too little food on the way to the limit of giving up.As a disadvantage, I feel the not so well paved bike path and the alternatively narrow winding road, so rather double-edged the thing.
