Talus (or Thélus) of Thumeries

Note that since November 2020, the trees on the slope have almost all been felled (because they are sick and threatening to fall). The place is now almost lunar ... We hope that in fine weather the place will have found some small player singles, failing a playful little wood that used to be very nice ... Snifff

Unfortunately all the trees on the top of the slope are cut leaving a mess of branches. On the official must-have, the single is impractical, there is a fallen tree wall which prevents the single from being played. 😟

A mound resembling a wooded heap, a long single is easily accessible from the Voie Verte du Pévèle. Prefer the one all around the site, because the path that crosses it is obstructed by large trees on the ground. Since the recent storms, the latter sometimes litter the passage and therefore force them to dismount. The steep exit is to descend carefully (or descend by the ascent for amateurs).
