Due to the slight incline, the cycle path is also suitable for families with children. In the summer months (weekends) you can easily get there with the Ilz Valley Railway to Waldkirchen. The cycle path starts right at the train station.

My personal highlight on Adalbert-Stifter-Weg is the end in Haidmühle or Nove Udoli (Neuthal) on the Czech side. One of the most beautiful spots to drink a good Czech beer - with a magnificent view of the Cold Vltava valley.
