    Super nice place!
For 2 € you can get into the monastery through the turnstile at any time of the day or night.

An old Cistercian monastery, from which there are still some monastic and farm buildings. The church itself is a very worth seeing ruin, its paradise today a small church, in which also weddings are celebrated. The monastery also has a beer garden and a (too expensive) restaurant. Children's playground and many beautiful corners complete this wonderful place.

Arnsburg Abbey (also Arnsberg Abbey; Latin: Castrum Aquilae Monastery) is the partially preserved monastery complex of a former Cistercian abbey and has been a district of the city of Lich in Hesse, Germany since 1977. The abbey was founded in 1174 and closed in 1803 in the course of secularization. After the monks left in 1810, the monastery belonged to the Counts of Solms-Laubach, who still use parts of the baroque buildings in the complex as a palace, while the late Romanesque and early Gothic parts of the church have been preserved as ruins. A war cemetery has been located in the former cloister since 1960.
